The Good Shepherd Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment. We ensure that all our employment practices reflect this commitment.
DBS Filtering Rule
All employees and volunteers in regulated activity, will require an enhanced DBS check. This is completed by the school, prior to appointment. The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will no longer disclose youth reprimands, youth warnings, or youth cautions. They will also no longer automatically disclose all convictions where an individual has more than one conviction – instead, each individual conviction will be assessed against the appropriate rules.
