Supporting Good Causes
Care for one another, the environment and the wider community, so that we live well together.
So that we live out our school vision and values, we support good causes whether they are local, global or environmental.
The Ashley School community collected a whopping amount of food which the Faith Group were able to put into hampers and delivered to a number of local charities, such as Rentstart - a homelessness charity.
As part of King Charles III, Big Help out, Faith Group planned and organised a fundraiser.
We gather donations of toys, games and nice items from our school community. They package up hampers of Christmas presents so that children and families across Elmbridge will have a 'smile' on their face on Christmas Day.
We work closely with Home Start to promote well being with families in Elmbridge. They have run parenting courses for the community in school and we held a mufti day to support this cause - raising over £800!
Using our green-fingered skills to good use in the community, our World Caretakers helped Love Walton to plant bulbs and flowers at the HalfWay and also in the centre of Walton.
Our KS2 Choir take their beautiful singing voices to local care homes to share some Christmas magic.
Some of our sporty members of staff have taken part in the London Marathon, raising money for the NSPCC and the Vitality London 10k for RentStart.
Our home school link worker runs a weekly term-time toddler group for the community at St John's Church.
