With so much sunshine and rain over the past few weeks, the food growing at Ashley School has never been better. This week we have harvested a phenomenal amount of produce, including salad, spinach and the best onion and garlic crop we have ever had. It really is a sight to behold. Under Darrel Leggett’s expert guidance, every one of the children has either harvested or planted something with peppers and pumpkin seeds going into the ground for the next round of food growing into the autumn. It has been a joy to see the children so engaged in this planting and harvesting process. A huge thank you to Darrel, who co-ordinates all the food growing, for leading these activities so well this week.
