* Denotes compulsory items with the Ashley C of E Primary School embroidered logo, available from our uniform supplier (other non-compulsory embroidered items are available).

All children are expected to wear their full school uniform. A smart uniform is part of the culture at our school and an important aspect of our pastoral care.

Summer uniform items may be worn after the Easter holiday through to the October half-term.

All items should be clearly labelled with your child’s name, including shoes and trainers.

Shoes should be clean, polished, smart and black.

All children must wear trainers for PE lessons.

Infant children may wear their embroidered v-neck sweatshirt or sweatshirt cardigan over their gold PE polo shirt. Juniors should wear a plain, or embroidered, dark green crew neck sweatshirt.

The Friends of Ashley present a school tie to all children at the end of Year 2. Additional ties can be purchased from our uniform supplier. Ties should have seven stripes showing when worn.

All children are expected to have a neat and tidy hairstyle that does not obscure their face. Hair should be tied back at all times if below the shoulder in length (including performances, dress down days and ‘Funky Fridays’). Hair ties should be green, black or navy, if possible.

No jewellery (including stud earrings) or make-up (including nail varnish) is permitted in school, although a watch may be worn once your child reaches Year 3. Temporary tattoos are also not permitted.

When we selected our new uniform supplier, there were three important factors in our decision. Firstly we wanted to reduce the prices and get a better deal for you. Secondly we wanted to switch to uniform that had better eco credentials. For example the infant uniform is part made from regenerated cotton and the ties are made out of recycled polyester. We think these are the first ties of their kind anywhere in the UK. The last thing we wanted to do was to see if we could combine a better price for you with a small contribution to the FOA for every item that is ordered. We have managed to achieve that so it really is a win / win situation. Our school uniform is now of improved quality, less expensive and eco friendly. It is also benefitting the FOA and by definition your children, too.
